Windmill Espresso is located at 927 U.S. 2, and the owner is Trenda Wolter. Trenda grew up in Sultan and graduated high school through Everett Community College. She married Tim Jones and they have three children, Hunter, Hailey and Cherish.

Trenda was a Real Estate Broker for 18 years when her best friend sold her the espresso stand almost 10 years ago.

Her business has tripled since she bought it, working seven days a week back then. Now she works eight hours a week buying supplies, books and working payroll for her seven employees.

Windmill is the only espresso stand that Trenda owns, open weekdays 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekends.

Besides espresso coffee, they sell grilled hotdogs, milkshakes, frappuccinos and snacks.

When asked where she sees her business in the next five years, Trenda commented, “Business is good, we’ll still be here in five years.”

On another note, Trenda is opening her own brokerage and “A Team Hardwoods” that’s run out of her home office.

As a volunteer, Trenda runs Thriving Threads, a collection of donated clothing from toddler through 18. The clothing is targeted at providing free special events clothing, such as Homecoming and Prom. The program is run through the Volunteers of America Western Washington Sky Valley Services Center (VOA), and is free to all children who are in need.
