Legislators, elected officials and city staff from several different 39th District cities had the honor of sharing a photo with Lieutenant Governor Cyrus Habib during this year’s Association of Washington Cities (AWC) City Action Days conference held in Olympia.
The photo was taken on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, during an after-conference dinner held at Mercato Ristorante in downtown Olympia. The event, meant to inspire and encourage camaraderie and unity among 39th District cities while providing city officials the chance to meet their lawmakers, was organized by Monroe Mayor Geoffrey Thomas and Monroe City Administrator Deborah Knight.
City officials from Monroe, Sultan, Gold Bar, Darrington and Granite Falls were in attendance, along with 39th District lawmakers Rep. Carolyn Eslick and Sen. Keith Wagoner.
The dinner took place after a full day of AWC conference activities, held at the Hotel RL Olympia. The conference included a question and answer session with keynote speaker Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson, and numerous other presentations and informational seminars.
