Why wait to get your utility bill in the mail when you can get a sneak peek at our February calendar/newsletter right here!
If you are interested in learning more about what’s happening at city hall, looking for ways to volunteer, or just want to make sure you don’t miss out on any important community events, our calendar/newsletter is a great resource.
In addition to showcasing programs and events hosted by the Sultan Library, our calendar provides a comprehensive schedule of city meetings and other community highlights. The public is always welcome at Sultan City Council meetings, which take place at 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays of every month. February 8, 2018 marks the triumphant return of our Business and Volunteer Spotlights, which are a way to showcase our local businesses and promote the hard-working volunteers making a difference in our community.
The second Monday of every month brings the Sultan Business and Tourism Group, a volunteer group interested in downtown Sultan beautification, economic development and tourism promotion. February’s Business and Tourism meeting takes place at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 12, and all are welcome.
The calendar/newsletter also highlights ways that residents can support vital services, such as the Sky Valley Senior Center, which serves a pancake breakfast on the first Saturday of each month. For $5, anybody can enjoy a piping hot breakfast of pancakes with all the trimmings, eggs, juice, sausage and coffee, every penny of which supports the senior center.
Together, the calendar and newsletter seek to highlight Sultan and all it has to offer. This month’s publication introduces two new city staff; utility clerk and receptionist Cassandra Carpenter, and Public Works Field Supervisor Ben MacDicken. Both have hit the ground running and have quickly become integral parts of our team.
We invite you to stay ahead of the curve by reading our calendar/newsletter!
