Sivewright works for the Department of Social and Health Services, Economic Services Administration, which focuses on transforming lives by empowering individuals and families to thrive. With over two decades of experience in the fields of education, social services, and workforce development, Sivewright is confident that her background will be an asset to the community.
She is looking forward to utilizing her skills as a collaborator, supervisor, and certified Human Centered Design (HCD) practitioner, as well as her experiences with both state and federal program oversight.
Community Service
Sivewright is a familiar face in the Sultan community, well known for her extensive community involvement, volunteerism, and as a local artist. Thanks to her efforts, Sultan’s Main Street is lined with American flags on holidays and during other special events. Additionally, the City’s fire hydrants along Main Street and the parade route feature red, white, and blue paint jobs, resulting from a project that combined her artistic skills with community service.
Whether it’s serving food at Sultan Harvest or co-chairing Sultan’s Veterans Day Ceremony, Sivewright plans to continue her volunteerism. Sivewright is currently the Senior Vice President, and an active lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Sultan Post 2554 Auxiliary.
Most recently Sivewright steer-headed an artistic endeavor that crosses the USA. The Sultan Freedom Rock located in Traveler’s Park, honors local veteran Sam Wold and Cle Elum born astronaut Dick Scobee. Not only meant to enhance tourism, the piece will also help preserve the history and heritage of the City.
