Term: Expires December 2023
Email Heidi Dawson
Appointed at the April 27, 2023 Council Meeting to fill a vacant seat on the council. This is her first term.
Councilmember Dawson currently works in the HVAC industry. This, plus her previous experience running her own mortgage service inspection company for 13 years, provided her with excellent management, budgeting, and collaborative skills that apply to her position on the council.
Councilmember Dawson is a lifelong Washington resident. She was born in Snoqualmie Valley and moved to Sultan in early 2008. She lives with her husband Tyler and four amazing boys: Patrick, Joshua, Tyler Jr., and Ethan. You can find her on walks around Sultan with her family and/or her 3 Rottweilers: Rouge, Raven, and Storm.
During her free time, Councilmember Dawson enjoys time in our beautiful Pacific Northwest outdoors. You can also find her in her garage woodworking with her boys or volunteering at local events.
Being a special needs parent, equity, diversity, and inclusion are at the forefront of Councilmember Dawson’s passions. She founded a local non-profit called The Determined Parents Foundation that provides educational and disabilities advocacy at a donation price point. She still volunteers as CEO and as an advocate.
Mental Health awareness is also very important to Councilmember Dawson. She co-founded the Sky Valley Mental Health Awareness Fair and Family Fun Day event where people can come together, have fun, shop, and find much needed service providers of all kinds here in Snohomish County.
She also volunteers for many Sultan School district events and committees to include the Mental Health Advisory Committee, which she helped establish and is a Co-Chair, and the Community Facilities Advisory committee, of which she is on the leadership team.
