The Building Division is located on the second floor of City Hall at 319 Main Street, Suite 200. Building services are available from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. We ask that you arrive before 3:00 pm in order to process your application or permit by 4:00 pm. The Building Division provides permitting, plan review and inspection services to ensure buildings are safe for the citizens of Sultan.
The Building Division reviews, issues and inspects building, mechanical, plumbing, sign and demolition permits. Plan review and inspection services are provided by Snohomish County through an interlocal agreement. All plans and inspection requests must be submitted to the city for processing.
Flood regulations and the city’s community rating system program for flood insurance are implemented through the Building Division.
