In 2017, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Steve McDonald implemented a series called Coffee with the Chief, to help build a solid relationship between the Sultan community and its team of law enforcement professionals. Held on a semi-monthly basis, the meetings will continue in 2018.
The January Coffee with the Chief event takes place 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Galaxy Chocolates in downtown Sultan. Similar to last year, the 2018 Coffee with the Chief events will take place at different times of the day in order to accommodate varying schedules. They will remain loosely structured and without a set agenda, to give ownership of the meetings to guests. All community members are welcome during Coffee with the Chief, and are encouraged to ask questions and give feedback, whether positive or negative.
“Coffee with the Chief is all about breaking down barriers to build connections between law enforcement and members of our community,” McDonald said. “I welcome these opportunities to engage with Sky Valley residents and encourage all questions, comments and concerns.”
In addition to learning more about the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, the Coffee with a Chief events have been a great opportunity for community members to learn more about their deputies.
Galaxy Chocolates is located at 501 Main Street in Sultan.
