The City of Sultan is accepting applications for an Assistant or Associate Planner. The position will be open until filled.
This position is designed for an Assistant Planner who wishes to grow into an Associate Planner, through growing their skills and expertise in the policies and practices of planning.
Under general supervision of the Community Development Director the position will review land use permit applications, prepare written staff reports and other materials, update land use policies and regulations, and other duties as assigned. This position serves as a resource to our community and provides information and education on City land use regulations to property owners, residents, business owners, and the public. Position will routinely present to the City’s Planning Board. They will also provide staff support to other departments, agencies and or committees as directed.
