QUESTIONS? Talk to FEMA at an Open House on December 12th
Snohomish County will host an open house open to all Sky Valley residents so the Federal Emergency Management Agency representatives can provide information and answer questions about revisions to the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs). Please attend this meeting, it may have important information regarding your property.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has revised select maps that identify flood hazard zones within Snohomish County. Pending revisions reflect recent engineering studies and other updated information. The final maps will indicate where mortgage lenders may require flood insurance and where development regulations may apply. Property owners are encouraged to review the revised flood maps as changes may affect your property and requirements for flood insurance.

Paper maps are also available at Planning and Development Services, 2nd Floor Admin Building East, 3000 Rockefeller Ave, Everett, WA 98201. Property owners who believe mapping on their land is inaccurate may request changes to the maps. The process for requesting a map change (LOMA and LOMR) will be discussed at the December 12th open house.
